3 Professional Golf Tournaments We Can Go Watch.

Coming in March and April there will be 3 professional golf tournaments that are an easy drive from New Orleans. The Korn Ferry Tour in Broussard, LA (Lafayette area), The PGA Tour Champions in Saucier, MS (Gulfport area), and the PGA Tour in Avondale (Greater New Orleans area) will all be held within a month of each other.

The first of these three tournaments is the Chitimatcha Louisiana Open Presented by MISTRAS. The tournament will be held the week of March 14th - 20th, 2022, The Louisiana Open is a Korn Ferry Tour Event and is played annually at Le Triomphe Golf and Country Club in Broussard Louisiana. Just over a 2-hour drive from downtown New Orleans the Louisiana Open is easy to get to and fun to watch as it features some of the best golfers not on the PGA Tour.

The second tournament is being held on the Gulf Coast in Saucier MS just north of Gulfport. The Rapiscan Systems Classic is a PGA Tour Champions event being held from March 28th - April 3rd, 2022. This is the first year for this sponsor and the first year this event will be held at Grand Bear Golf Club which is only a 1-hour and a half drive from New Orleans and a golf course open to the public. Tickets for this event go on sale March 2nd.

Lastly, coming April 18th - 24th, we have our own Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the only team event on the PGA Tour. Held annually at TPC of Louisiana the week of the Aurich Classic is a week full of fun and great golf. This year brings in a new spectator experience with the Walk-Ons Stadium Club that will be situated behind the 17th green. This experience will be limited so make sure and get your Zurich Classic tickets as soon as possible.

Every one of these events has a unique experience. There are not many places you can see 3 of the top 4 professional golf tours within a month. The only thing we are missing is an LPGA event (something Golf Nola and Louisiana Golf Tourism are working on bringing to Southeast Louisiana) to be held in April or early March. We are very fortunate to have so many fun events being held in such a short period of time, especially right after Mardi Gras this year. Not only will you have fun at any or all of these events but each event raises money for local worthwhile charities.

We look forward to seeing you out there!
