A Day at the Rapiscan Systems Classic Kick-Off 2-Man Scramble.

In preparation for the Rapiscan Systems Classic, a PGA Tour Champions golf tournament held at Grand Bear Golf Club, a 2-man scramble was organized as a kick-off to the event being held next week (March 31st - April 3rd).

All participants of the 2-man scramble played the same conditions at Grand Bear that the PGA Tour Champions will be playing next week. Add to it that all the grandstands are up it is a way for golfers to get a sense of playing inside the ropes but without the crowds. Lunch was also provided at the grill and some great awards were given out to the winners.

Rapiscan Systems and Grand Bear knocked this out of the park. This is such a great idea to raise some extra money for charity. Every PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, and Korn Ferry Tour event should consider doing this the Friday before their event. Not only is it great for charitable reasons but it also gives golfers a taste of professional golf conditions in a fun yet competitive atmosphere.

The day could not have been any better. The weather was perfect, everyone was having a blast, and the golf course was in phenomenal condition. The only thing that was possibly missed out on was a photographer or videographer to commemorate the event. However, another cool thing is that every participant received a golf pin flag with the Rapiscan Sytems Classic and Grand Bear Logo (photo below). They really did so many great things and the staff around the entire property were phenomenal. Always making sure everyone was having a good time and checking if anyone needed anything.

This is an event that Golf Nola will be a part of every year. We are already looking forward to the next one but first, we are looking forward to going to see the PGA Tour Champions play next week. Tickets are still available for anyone wanting to attend. Check out the Rapiscan Systems Classic website to purchase and for spectator information.
